About the role

The organisation is seeking a motivated Junior Account Manager (32–40 hours per week) to join its commercial team in Amsterdam. In this role, you will engage with potential clients, manage leads, and help grow the sales pipeline by collaborating with marketing, senior account managers, and sector leads. You will play a key part in identifying opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting the development of commercial strategies.

Key responsibilities

  • Qualify inbound leads and arrange follow-up actions such as meetings or demos.

  • Identify potential clients through LinkedIn, email, phone, and networking events.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

  • Research client organisations to understand their needs and challenges.

  • Maintain and update client information in the CRM system.

  • Provide feedback to marketing on lead quality and share insights from client interactions.

  • Contribute to sales campaigns, proposals, and client satisfaction initiatives.

  • Analyse client data and provide initial interpretations.

What you bring

  • A relevant higher education degree (e.g. Business Administration, Marketing, or Economics).

  • Up to two years of experience in sales or business development.

  • Strong communication skills and confidence in reaching out to new contacts.

  • A structured, analytical, and proactive working style.

  • Motivation to achieve commercial goals and contribute to team success.

  • Proficiency in Dutch (English an advantage).

  • A salary between €2,924 and €4,005 gross per month (based on 40 hours).
